1947-1957 GASTON LENÔTRE,FOUNDEROF THE HOUSE LENÔTRE

In 1947, Gaston Lenôtre opens his first shop in Normandy. In 1957, with his wife Colette, he purchases a shop in Paris at 44, rue d'Auteuil. An immediate success!

 

1964 CATERING & RECEPTION

Creation of the catering and reception department.
A brand new service that makes Gaston Lenôtre one of the most saught after food specialists.

 

1968 PLAISIR

Installation of the production laboratory
in Plaisir (Yvelines).

 

1971 THE SCHOOL

The Lenôtre's School opens its doors at Plaisir in the Departement of Yvelines. Professionals from the world over come to discover the secrets of the famous pastry Chef.

 

1975 BERLIN

International experience begins in Berlin, then in Japan, Middle East, Korea, Las Vegas, Bangkok and Beijing.

 

1976 PRÉ CATELAN

Taking over the Pré Catelan concession, an elegant Napoléon III pavillion with listed decor.

 

1987 COLBERT COMMITTEE

Lenôtre becomes a member of the Colbert Committee. Created in 1954, this committee groups together French luxury houses and cultural institutions. Together they strive to promote the French art of fine living internationally.

 

1998 WORLD CUP

Lenôtre is the official caterer for the Football World Cup. A huge event handled to perfection thanks to Lenôtre's expertise.

 

2000 OLIVIER POUSSIER

Olivier Poussier, Lenôtre's head wine expert since 1988, wins the title of Meilleur Sommelier du Monde in Montréal

 

2003 PAVILLON ÉLYSÉE

Take over of the Pavillon Élysée on the Champs-Élysées opposite the Grand Palais. Created in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition, this wonderful setting dedicated to gastronomy offers an ideal venue for the creation of the amateur cookery school as well as a very refined restaurant.

 

2007 FRÉDÉRIC ANTON

Having already obtained 2 stars in 1999, Frédéric Anton, Chef of the Pré Catelan, obtains a thrid star in the Guide Michelin. The ultimate pledge of Lenôtre's excellence.
